Active Webinar Review – My experience in using it and How does it work?

I used this product as a beta tester and today I’m going to make this honest review for you.

Hello I’m inside the Active Webinars dashboard as below:

In this main area, you can see a summary of your current activity on Active Webinar including: Today registrations, total registrations and all the webinars. From here you’ll also see recent registrations with name and email address.

On the left hand side panel, you can find shortcuts to every section and feature of your Active Webinar which is: Webinars, Message center, Attendees, Affiliates, Conversation and Media.

Let’s dive into each feature to explore:

1/ Webinars

To create a new webinar, you need to go through 2 steps:

Step 1: Select template
Step 2: Add webinar

First you need to pick a template from the list as above, then you’ll be moved to webinar setting interface as below:

Some basic settings you need to do is insert Webinar URL, add title for the webinar so that audience will know what it’s all about, then pick event timezone.

With the event type, we have 2 options: simulated live and instant play. Simulated live allows you to pick a particular date and time for the webinar to play, while instant play will run the webinar right after an attendee signs up the registration page and click to see the webinar:

Below is when I choose the type of Simulated live for my webinar:

Done with basic settings, we move to the customizable settings including: general, email, integration, registration, design, webinar room and thank you page as below:

The dashboard of each webinar will show you the number of its registrations.

Let’s take a closer look at each section of the webinar:

Email pannel: Here you can compose an email to send to your registrants such as reminders and event updates using Active Webinars powerful built-in email editing tools.

Registration page: By clicking on the registration page tab, now you can customize the registration page section.

Click on the choose file button to upload your registration page logo, then enter your registration page heading and your registration page subheading. After that, you can add promotional video , simply select a video from your media library that you’d like to use to promote your presentation in the registration page.

Besides, you can enable the “show speakers”, this will allow you to add the name, picture and summary of the webinar hosts. These details will be added in this below section:

Active Webinar allows you to make a summary of your webinar in the registration page description field. Additionally, you can enable a GDPR consent checkbox and policy to your registration page as below:

Once you’re done, click on Update registration page as above.

Design: In the design tab, you will be able to customize every section and element on the registration page including the body style, design the registration, design the text, design the policy text color…etc.

Webinar room: Click on the webinar room tab, here you are going to configure and customize the site visuallation on our room where your attendees will be watching your presentation.

You can start editing by customizing the page style first, select a header color, select an user show color, a header color, next select the background color, chat box color as below:

Then click on “add video” and select the video file from the media library (this media section will be discussed so shortly) that you’ll use as your presentation. You can select how many users you’ll show in the attendee counter, for this enter a “fake live webinar user’s” number first, then enter a “fake live webinar users maximum”.

You can also enable “advertisement option”, this will allow you to promote a product or sales page during the webinar, start by clicking on the choose files to upload your product or sales page image, then enter your call-to-action text as below:

Thank you page:

Here you can customize the thank-you page that you’ll show the user. You can use Active Webinars default page by selecting “default” in the “enable custom thank-you page”, but in case you want to add your own custom thank you message, select “enable” and write your own thank-you text as above.

2/ Message center

This section allows you to insert an automated message on your webinars. It’s so convenient when you’re away and not able to reply the audience messages.

Click on Add new as above to go the Add Simulated messages:

Easily select a particular webinar to add the message into, first name, text message and message time as above.

And all the messages you’ve created will be saved in this below message center:

3/ Attendees:

See all the attendees register to your webinar right below:

The attendee information comes with the webinar that they joined, email, webinar code, full name. You can download this email list and use an autoresponder service for your affiliate marketing.

4/ Affiliates

You can see all the affiliate users in this below section, also you can add a new one.

5/ Conversation

If an attendee send message to you during the webinar, the message will be saved in this section:

6/ Media

Before you set up a webinar, the first thing to do is to upload your presentations to your account, doing this allows you to simply select your presentations during the actual setup webinar, which saves you time uploading your presentations.

To do this, click on the media tab and this will take you to this below screen:

Simply enter video title and select the video file to upload. You can find all the videos in the media list as below:
