I’ve been using Pictory.AI in my business for months so you can consider me as a tester. Now let me give you the most objective demo and review with Pictory.AI.

Script to Video

Click on the “Proceed” button, it will take us to the script editor. From here, I need to paste my script:

In the next step, Pictory.AI will break down my script into scenes. Before that, I’d like to share some interesting settings as shown in the above screenshot:

Scene setting let us set some rules up here, like how should A.I. break my script? Should A.I. highlight keywords or do I want to do it manually?

(For my first time, I will go ahead with default settings as recommended)

Highlight setting allow me to highlight my keywords, which will help A.I. find better visuals for me for each scene.

Okay, now let me paste my script and proceed, it’s about the ebook topic. I can also enable “Spell check” for my script as below:

Next step, I will pick a template and an aspect ratio (this can be changed later):

And I have my video storyboard created! This storyboard is soo powerful and the best part so far, let me show you right now.

As can be seen below, Pictory.AI broke down my script into scenes. It picked a keyword in each scene and highlighted it as well. It also automatically selected the best images and video footage representing the summary sentences:

From here, I can remove or highlight another keyword. I can chage the visual of each scene as well.

I will go to “Visuals” section to pick another visual. Pictory offers over 3 million visuals which are royalty-free and licensed from various sources. You can easily change these visuals with a single click and even use your own assets:

When I’m satisfied with the editing, I simply click on the “Generate” button. It has 3 options here:

If I choose the option “Generate spreadsheet as social posts”, below is what we will see:

Then wait a minute for the video generation:

When it’s done, you have all of the below options to download and share your project:

Article to Video

First of all, just paste your article’s link and click on “Proceed” to get the script:

Then the A.I. will summarize my article as below. The summarized bits of the article will show up on the right. Only those bits will be part of the final video:

If I want to add more sentences into the summary, I will click on the sentence on the left to add it. However, in most cases, I don’t think it’s necessary because the A.I. has already done its best.

Once satisfied, I proceed to the video storyboard:

All the video editing can be done like I just showed you in Module 1, so I won’t spend more time here. Let’s move on to Module 3.

Edit Videos using text

Here, it’s much simpler to edit videos using text. Fast, even long videos take just minutes. Let’s find out how!

I will need to input a video first, and select the language in the video as well:

Then if possible, help the A.I. detect number of speakers in the video for better transcription quality:

Then, a storyboard for the video will be made like the one below, which has a good transcription of the video on the left:

From here, I can completely edit my video without touching it.

Just by clicking on a particular sentence, the video will automatically move to that part. I just need to edit the transcription, and all the changes will be applied to my video.

For example, I can add or remove sentences that I wish to include in my final video. I can add filter words like “uh,” “um,” and then remove them all with the click of a button:

If I highlight a keyword or sentence, it will also be highlighted in the video:

Not only that, you can create small video clips (multiple at the same time) by selecting the sentence as above.

Also, if you want to summarize your video, you have many options to shorten it as shown below. Pictory’s AI engine will automatically select the best summary sentences for your final video:

When you’re done with editing the video content, you can continue editing the video visual by clicking on “Customize video”:

And then we can edit the video normally as I showed you in Module 1. For example, I will replace one scene’s visual by searching for its related video/image in the library:

We will have the output: a border visual when the video plays to “US shared border” part:

To get started, I will drag and drop or browser my PC for my images/videos:

When it’s loaded up, click on “Proceed”. You can upload images and videos at the same time:

The video storyboard will be created as below. You can reorder the visuals as you like to create a video:

Then I can edit the video as normal: add text and AI Voiceover, add my own voice over and auto-sync…

So far, so good! Pictory.AI is not like any video agency app I’ve ever seen out there. It really surprises me how well its AI works, from figuring out accurately what my script is about, to choosing the best represented visuals for each scene.

One more big plus, I can easily manage my projects, arrange them into folders, and post them in bulk to multiple platforms. Due to my busy schedule, it really saves me a lot of time and manipulation.
